Les Artisans

Today is our last day in Paris. We started the morning by having breakfast at Les Artisans, a restaurant near our hotel. We were exploring the area that morning in search of a good breakfast place, and Les Artisans happened to be open.

It looks nice with reasonable pricing (based on the menu on the stand), so we decided to give it a try. Much to our delight, the food was good! It was one of the best omelette I’ve had in a while! Fresh crispy baguette, aromatic cappuccino, and soft buttery croissant! Just brilliant! Add to that, it’s inexpensive and they offer friendly service. Do give it a try if you happen to be in the area. The address is: Les Artisans, 106 rue Lecourbe, 75015 Paris. It’s near to Vaugirard and Volontaires metro station.

After that, we checked out from the hotel. We had around 3 hours to roam around Paris before heading to the airport for our flight back to the UK. Half the group went shopping again at Galeries Lafayette, while me & Aliaa went for another round of sight-seeing. I wanted to explore the garden area near Eiffel, and get another round of photos at Trocadéro.

Lucky for us, the weather was excellent for photos. We bought souvenirs at a booth near Eiffel, and from there we walked to Trocadéro. The view from Trocadéro was fantastic!

We bought churros and sandwiches and sat down watching the tourists. After we were done admiring the view, we headed back to the hotel, took our luggage, and headed to the airport.

At the airport, we had lunch at McDonalds. Interestingly enough, there’s a McBaguette! I immediately ordered a set. Served with a layer of beef, mustard and cheese. The perfect meal to bid farewell to Paris.

All in all we have a fantastic time in France. Pickpockets aside, we were very pleased with our experience. We’ve heard many people complain about the French being rude, but somehow, we were fortunate enough to meet only the friendly ones during our stay. Attempt a few words of French and the locals open up to you. That’s the key. As for attractions, I was surprised that even with 7 days, there were still lots more to see! We were able to visit the “main” attractions, but there are still others that I would like to see. Paris is definitely one the cities that I look forward to visiting again in the future. Adieu Paris!
